Summer Program

Guildford Academy offers after school and summer school credit courses under the Ontario Secondary School curriculum guidelines.

Parent/Guardian(s) and students should feel free to contact the school guidance counselor for advice on course selections and academic matters.

One of our popular summer courses is English as a Second Language (ESL). Guildford Academy has developed its own comprehensive in-house learning assessment, tracking progress for every student and periodically measuring the level of English competence required for their college/university admission qualifications. Through Guildford ESL programs, students make overall academic English improvements — reading and writing academic essays, giving presentations and oral communication skills.

Other popular summer courses include Grade 11 English (ENG3U) and Grade 12 English (ENG4U). Classes are individualized, with more interactions with teachers. Students at more advanced levels will study poetry, plays, classical novels and short stories.

All credit courses are scheduled for 110 hours of in-class instruction. Summer school credit courses run all day (6 hours) for one month.

Summer Camp

Guildford Academy’s summer camp program allows high school students a short-term study experience in Canada. With carefully planned class activities and social events, students will surely have an exciting learning experience.

Services included in the summer camp program are: registration, guardianship, home-stay placement (if required), insurance, airport pick up and drop off, certificates upon completion of the program and 3 excursions (Niagara Falls, Canada’s Wonderland, and CN Tower).

Our University Preparation Program

Guildford Academy’s University Preparation Program helps students plan for their intended university programs. With academic support, students are placed in their chosen courses, guided by Guildford counselors.

With guidance counselors, students will apply to be admitted into college/university programs while completing their high school courses. For more information on post-secondary admission requirements, please contact info@guildfordacademy.com.
